From over two decades ago (!), when Tom the Dancing Bug only appeared in a New York City weekly:
a comic about NY's lottery, LOTTO, the motto for which was "All you need is a dollar and a dream."

Pretty funny…
Living in New York City, and with an office right next to the World Trade Center, I was very directly affected by the events of 9/11. For days, the furthest thing from my mind was my weekly comic strip. And when it came time to think about it, writing and drawing a comic strip was the last thing I wanted to do.
It was with absolutely no joy that I came up with this, my first comic after 9/11. But, while it may not exactly show in the lines, I wrote and drew it with far more emotion than any comic before or since.

Michelle Bachmann made a comment yestereday, divining God's message in the recent earthquake and hurricane to be a warning that politicians become more conservative.
I don't know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We've had an earthquake; we've had a hurricane. He said, "Are you going to start listening to me here?"
I think she know exactly how God-Man likes to send his messages. Here is a Tom the Dancing Bug from 2005.

When I did this comic on for-profit universities, it was a shortcoming of satirical imagination that I didn't include a college TRUCK! Of course, wait around long enough (a few months), and reality will outstrip satire.
Note the lady who set up a cart in front of the truck, selling drinks. Student center?
