RECOMMONDAY

Today, I'm recommending a book for the second time.  The first time I recommended the Complete Cul de Sac, I didn't have the book yet.  (Of course I felt comfortable recommending the book without seeing it because I'd read all the comics.)

But I got the two volume set, and I was surprised to find out that the week of Cul de Sac comics I did as a guest cartoonist while Richard was trying to work out how to continue the strip while battling Parkinson's Disease, as well as the weeks of a few other guest cartoonists, made it into the book.  I really thought Richard would omit these from the collection, which is obviously about HIS Cul de Sac.

I'm honored to be included.  As my son said, "That means your Cul de Sac comics are CANONICAL!"  It was fun to try to produce these comics in Richard's writing/drawing style as precisely as I could.

Anyway, this is hardly a reason to recommend the book any more than I already have — just a reason to write about it again.

By the way, the other guest cartoonists who filled in for Richard are: Michael Jantze, Corey Pandolph, Lincoln Peirce, Stephan Pastis and Mo Willems.
