I've been thinking about this comic from 1999, written about a controversy over Kevin Smith's movie Dogma.

Michelle Bachmann made a comment yestereday, divining God's message in the recent earthquake and hurricane to be a warning that politicians become more conservative.
I don't know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We've had an earthquake; we've had a hurricane. He said, "Are you going to start listening to me here?"
I think she know exactly how God-Man likes to send his messages. Here is a Tom the Dancing Bug from 2005.
(By the way, on the day after Jack Kirby's birthday, note the Kirby-squiggles on God-Man in the title panel!)
