RECOMMONDAY

Here's the book I spoke about on a recent episode of the Gweek podcast, Paul Has a Summer Job, by Michel Rabagliati.  It's a sweet and funny story, well told with interesting and appealing artwork.  I decided to give it a try based on Dan Kois's rave about Rabaliati's work in Slate: You Will Fall in Love with Michel Rabagliati's Beautiful Autobiographical Comics.

RECOMMONDAY

Amazon says this book doesn't come out until May 2, but miraculously it is currently in stock and available for immediate order.

These Fantagraphics reprints of the Carl Barks Donald Duck/Uncle Scrooge comics are the gold standard for reprint publications — which is an embarrassment of riches because the underlying material is the gold standard for cartooning.  Some of the best comic book items ever produced, I can't Recommonday them enough.
