I'll also have out-of-print now-collectors-item books and comic books for sale, ridiculously priced at or near cover price (rounded up — I don't do coins or ones).

Members of the elite INNER HIVE (please bring a printout of a INNER HIVE email as proof of purchase) also get a personalized drawing — Lucky Ducky, God-Man, Charley, the Gangham Style guy, you name it, so come on by and say Hey.

TODAY’S “CLASSIC” TOM THE DANCING BUG

From the 2008 election, but still awfully relevant today.

It fascinates me that the Republicans have been able to open a debate over whether a progressive tax system (higher incomes pay at a higher rate than lower incomes), which has been a settled and accepted paradigm in the U.S. since Abraham Lincoln's administration, is some kind of new socialist plot to punish the rich.

BOOKS, AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Two of my favorite people have books out today:

The force of nature that is Stephen Colbert has a new book, America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't (don't get fooled by the tricky double-negative) that I'm looking forward to reading.

By the way, I'm enough of a fan to have actually DVRd and watched his Oprah interview, and found it fascinating.  I've seen Colbert out of character (I think), but never as sincere as he is in this interview.  I mean he is SERIOUSLY SINCERE.  He's so sincere, I wonder if he's doing another character, "Very Sincere Oprah-Appropriate Stephen Colbert."  And it makes me wonder whether his flitting in and out of character(s) is really as binary as he and his wife say in the interview.

And I recommend the paperback/audiobook version of John Hodgman's masterpiece That Is All, which I've already read in hardcover, enjoyed and internalized.
